Lanhydrock Hotel: 13/12/08

Almost the same as last week except we were only working downstairs for this weekend Friday and Saturday for the Corporate Christmas Parties. This was one of the biggest weekends as both nights we had 120+ people for the Christmas parties. These parties were for a various companies that had booked the place for that night. We set everything up in the afternoon on the Friday to save us some time and just in case anything went wrong but thankfully nothing did (as usual). Again when the evening started the first thing we had to do was just put on some background music while the various companies had a meal and then when they were all finished we then start the actual show.

Once the Various companies finished their meal we started the show and again people were dancing right away on the dance floor. Again like last week we had our largest show so there was our best light and sound show along with a smoke machine just to make the overall effect look better.

While the show was being played, we had various people come up to us requesting certain songs (which we had) and complimenting us on the job.

l had loads of people dancing on the dance floor. While we were playing music, the people at the party were doing certain dances to certain songs like doing the YMCA to the village people and doing the Macarena to the Macarena song. As people were leaving they were still giving compliments and saying thanks for everything we done in the show, more happy people from another great show! We finished at 1am in the morning but both nights but the best part of these shows at Lanhydrock was the show would stay up over night ready for the Saturday night which was great. Looking forward to next weekend as this will be the last weekend before Christmas
