and 16th Birthday party in Trispen

Almost the same as last week again we were only working downstairs for this weekend Friday and Saturday for the Corporate Christmas Parties. This was again one of the biggest weekends as both nights we had 100+ people for the Christmas parties. These parties were for a various companies that had booked the place for that night. We set everything up in the afternoon on the Friday to save us some time and just in case anything went wrong but thankfully nothing did (as usual). Again when the evening started the first thing we had to do was just put on some background music while the various companies had a meal and then when they were all finished we then start the actual show.

Once the Various companies finished their meal we started the show and again people were dancing right away on the dance floor on the Friday night, but the Saturday night was a harder night to get people moving as it was the members night and was very much like a black tie event. Again like last week we had our largest show so there was our best light and sound show along with a smoke machine just to make the overall effect look better.

The Saturday night as I mentioned above was a little harder to get people motivated as this was a bit of a formal night with a much older crowd hence we played the right music for this occasion and obviously got everyone up dancing and enjoying the whole of the evening.

The sad part of this weekend was it was our last weekend of the Lanhydrock Christmas Parties which we have done every weekend all over December and I am very much looking forward to the Staff Christmas Party which we are having on Sunday January 4th 2009. We do this as all the staff including myself work so hard that we do not get time to celebrate Christmas during December so I am really looking forward to this night as R.J.Rhythm is also included in the staff party hence I will be staying over and partying myself.

With reference to the Friday 20th December we also had another booking for a 16th Birthday party for a young lady called Kitty in Trispen Village hall. This was a very busy night for us as you can guess. I sent along Freddie, Andy and Scott with our medium show to do this gig and it was a big success and very well organized as there were all security on the door to make sure it all went smoothly as you can guess 16 years old can be a bit of a hand full lol.
